I was wondering one day if there was a technical solution for people with peanut allergies, and there actually is!
There is a $289 device that will test for you! I would be very curious if someone could write a review on this. This product also works for folks with gluten allergies as well. According to tech crunch:
In both the peanut and gluten tester, the user places a pea-size chunk of food into the single-use testing tube. After this tube is placed into the Nima, the device uses different sensors and chemistry to detect either peanuts or gluten. The results are delivered in about three minutes with 99% accuracy!
Wow, I can’t wait to get one my self. This would be so helpful when traveling Asian countries as they use allot of nuts in their cuisines.
